Review Jennifer Ditaranto
'This is war' is the best CD I've ever heard , edited by my favourite band that are the Thirty Seconds To Mars. I think it's a very powerful , brave , touching and non-conformist CD. It is different from the other CDs of our days because it's not based upon business but upon quality of the sound and that makes people understand why there are lots of Echelon on the earth. 'This is wa' talks about taking another road , getting wrong , growing up and enjoying everything that life gives to us , but first of all , it talks about following our dreams , no matter what people think. The cover of the CD is a tiger that roars and I love it because describes perfectly the subject matter of the songs. The standard version of 'This is war' is composed by twelve songs , while the deluxe edition is composed by fifteen songs and a DVD. For me , it's more like a friend , someone you can rely on, than just a CD, so I really advice it to everyone who truly wants to listen to music. That's all I can say.

First of all many apologies for not writing earlier - it's been a REALLY busy week and often it's just too late at night for me to start!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really good review in terms of style and subject matter, which are totally appropriate. Also your control of tenses is very good. Well done.
For me the main points to think about are:-
Firstly, and very importantly,it's all in one paragraph, which would seriously affect your marks in the exam and drop you down a band. That's important but reasily recitified!
A few other language points: "edited" - do you mean "performed" or "made"?
You don't need "that are" in that sentence, so I would say," ... my favourite band "Thirty Seconds to Mars."
...different from other cds these days...
If you put "the other" you are talking about a specific group of cds, whereas "other" means "any other" in general.
The sentence about "not made for business" is a bit awkward. Maybe something like, "because it hasn't been made with a view to how much money it could make but rather with great attention to the quality of the sound."
What do you mean by Echelon here?
"going wrong" (rather than "getting wrong")
Better "...the cover...shows a tiger roaring" (and you need to put the word "perfectly" at the end, i.e. "describes...........perfectly."
I think we would say "comprises 12 songs."
"recommend it to everyone" rather than "advice" (and anyway "advice" is a noun; the verb is with an "s" "advise" but you can't use it in this way. You advise someone to do something.)
Altogether very well done.
Oops, that should've been "and easily rectified"!!! Sorry.
